Roots and Resilience Family Home Foundation’s Community Cleanup & Revitalization Project brings residents, volunteers, businesses, and community partners together to improve neglected areas and create safer, healthier, and more welcoming rural communities.
In communities where resources are limited, accumulated trash, illegal dumping, abandoned properties, overgrown lots, and deteriorating neighborhood spaces can become much larger challenges. These conditions can affect community safety, health, property conditions, and residents’ overall quality of life.
Project activities may include:
- Community cleanup events
- Removal of trash, debris, and illegally dumped materials
- Cleanup of vacant and overgrown lots
- Neighborhood beautification projects
- Assistance with minor exterior property cleanup for residents who need additional support
- Community garden and green-space development
- Volunteer recruitment and coordination
- Partnerships with local governments, businesses, schools, and community organizations
- Identification of abandoned or deteriorating properties needing additional intervention
- Education and community engagement focused on maintaining clean and safe neighborhoods
Our goal is not simply to clean an area for one day. We want to help create lasting community pride, shared responsibility, and renewed investment in rural neighborhoods.
By working alongside residents and community partners, Roots and Resilience seeks to transform neglected spaces into places where families feel safe, connected, and proud to call home.
