Roots and Resilience Family Home Foundation’s Employment & Job Readiness Program helps individuals prepare for employment, connect with job opportunities, and overcome barriers that can make entering or returning to the workforce difficult.
Support may include:
- Résumé and cover letter assistance
- Online job searches and application support
- Interview preparation and practice
- Assistance creating professional email accounts and online employment profiles
- Basic computer and digital employment skills
- Job-readiness and workplace communication skills
- Connections to local employers, training programs, and educational opportunities
- Support identifying transportation, childcare, technology, or other employment barriers
- Referrals to community resources and supportive services
- Individualized employment goal planning
For individuals living in rural communities, finding employment can involve challenges beyond simply locating an available position. Limited transportation, technology access, childcare, training opportunities, and nearby employers can all affect a person's ability to obtain and maintain employment.
Our goal is to help individuals build the skills, confidence, resources, and connections needed to pursue meaningful employment and greater financial stability. By addressing barriers early and connecting people with practical support, we can help strengthen not only individuals, but entire families and communities.
