Roots and Resilience Family Home Foundation’s Family Group Home Development Project is a long-term initiative focused on developing safe, stable, and supportive residential environments for children and families who need additional care, structure, and resources.
The project is designed around the belief that a home should provide more than shelter. A supportive home environment should promote safety, belonging, stability, healthy relationships, education, life skills, and opportunities for children and families to thrive.
Development efforts may include:
- Identifying and securing appropriate properties
- Property acquisition, renovation, and preparation
- Furnishings and household essentials
- Safety improvements and accessibility needs
- Development of welcoming, family-centered living spaces
- Program planning and operational development
- Staff and caregiver preparation and training
- Educational, recreational, and life-skills resources
- Partnerships with community organizations and service providers
- Ongoing maintenance and sustainability planning
Whenever possible, services will emphasize family preservation, connection, and stability, recognizing the importance of maintaining healthy relationships and community ties.
Our long-term vision is to develop family-centered homes where children and families can experience consistency, dignity, support, and a genuine sense of belonging while working toward greater stability.
This project is currently in the development and fundraising stage. Donations and community partnerships will help Roots and Resilience build the foundation needed to secure properties, prepare homes, develop programming, and create sustainable residential supports for families in rural and underserved communities.
